Baptism of Gudbrand, son of Hans Hansen and Helene Andersdtr, took place 8th Nov 1896. He was born 1 Oct 1896. Among the godparents were Anne Andersdtr and Ingel Hansen. Emigrants sailing from Kristiania: Departing 18th Mar 1914, Mikal Hans. Gomsrud (Høien), born 17.10.1893, residence Gran Hadel., destination New York, Ship Eskimo Ellis Island has a 'Mikael Gamsrud', 20, arrived Mar 27, 1914, in NY on the Lusitania, from Liverpool, England. (It wouldn't be unusual for him to have changed ships in Liverpool before going onto the US) Mikael Gamsrud, 20, born Norway, Labourer, resident 'Granst', relative at home father, Hans Gamsrud, resident Granst (although it looks more like Gran St). Headed for Minnesota, paid for his own ticket, relative in US brother Ingel Gamsrud, resident Kalkin, Watson, Minn. Born Lunner, Norway. Sure enough, we find that Ingel Hans Gonesrud, born 29.01.95, departed 30.04.1913 on the Eskimo, on his way to Minnesota. He is also listed in 1925, as Ingel Hansen Gomsrud Høien, along with Jørgen Hansen Gomsrud Høien, born 10.06.1905, headed for Canada. Also, an Inga Severine Mørk, aged 16 (possibly mother or aunt of the one who married Michael?), departed 27.04.1882, with Gustav Jarman Mørk, aged 18, presumably her brother. Residence Drammen, heading for Wisconsin. The year before, five other Morks from Drammen left Norway: Kristen Mork, 41, left 14.04.1881 Anna, 36, and her children Agnæs, 11 1/2, Alfred, 10, and Anna, 6, left 26.08.1881.
