There is a Bygdebok (farm history) covering Lom that was published recently. I believe that the first volume covers both the Brimi and Frisvoll farms. I read about it in an earlier posting on this forum. One of my great-grandmother's sisters (who was from nearby Skjaak) married Syver Brimi in Eau Claire in 1874. He would have been Ella's brother and was born in 1853. He emigrated in 1869. The family is listed in the 1865 Norwegian Census under Brimi Sondre Sandnesteigen. His mother, Mari Christensdatter, was listed as a widow, aged 31. His father, Ellef Syversen, must have died between 1860 and 1865.
