Hi Stephanie: Thanks for the reply. I and my cousin in WA have done all of the above. We do have the 1880 census. The youngest son Ove was born in Edinburgh, ND in 1884. That we know. My concern is that there is nothing on Kari or Carrie after the last land transaction in Walsh County or Edinburgh in 1889. I was in Pembina, And ran around Walsh County, no one had any death records or cemetery records for Carrie Oveson or even Overson as we have seen her name spelled. She disappears between 1889 and 1893 when her husband Ove Sr. arrives in Roseau, MN and according to the 1895 Roseau, MN census he has lived there for two and a half years with his youngest chidren and is a widow. No records of her death in MN either. I did find a Caroline Overson who was born 1836 and died 1909 and buried in GrandForks, MN but she is not our Carrie. I did some checking. Wish I could find her!
