My great grandmother, Christina Andersen was born in 1853. She left Gran in 1873 and sailed from Hamburg to Australia on the ship Eugenie. On her marriage certificate, her parents are listed as Hans Andersen and Ingeborg Karlsen. I found the record of their marriage, but all of their children have the surname Hansen as is to be expected. There is no mention of her. The date of their marriage is 24/9/1853. Their listed children are:
Anna Marie b. 30/7/1854
Carl Emil b. 9/3/1856
Anders b. 23/1/1859
Johan Jorgen 28/3/1861
Hans Elias b. 6/3/1864
Torborg b. 23/1/1870
Kristense Siselia Hans b.11/10/1874
Ingeborg's father's name is given as Carl Andreas Andersen and Han's father is Anders Christensen.
I was wondering if my great grandmother may have been their niece or some relative who was adopted/fostered by them.
I would be very happy to learn more about her.
