I am researching the Anderson/Andersen side of my family tree. I hope this helps other researchers and I would also appreciate any help that others could provide as well.
My gg grandfather was named Peter Christian Anderson/Anderson. He may have also went by Peder Kristian Anderson/Andersen/Andreason/etc. He was born on Sept 23, 1859 in Trondheim, Norway. Trondheim may also be listed as Trondhjem, Nord-Trøndelag, or Sør-Trøndelag. It is thought that Peter had at least three brothers: Jack, John, and possibly a Mike (Michael, etc.). Peter's father may have been named Jacob. And of course it is possible that his father was named Ander. We just don't know his father's name for sure. Peter died in 1935 in Washington State. Peter married Anna Maria Anderson/Andersen.
Anna was born on Sept 14, 1865 in Stockholm, Sweden. It is possible that she may have had a father by the the name of Troed, however, this may be a stretch. Anna returned to Sweden and brought back her sister Hildah and brother Hurburt with her to California. Anna worked as a laundry worker. She married Peter and had 11 children, some in San Francisco, California and some in Washington State.
The couple moved from California to Washington. Peter was a streetcar driver in Seattle and Anna ran a restaurant in Orting, where they lived for a time. In the 1900 decade they homesteaded on Crego Hill in Lewis County, Washington. Anna died in 1947 in Washington State.
Peter and Anna's known children are as follows:
Grace Anderson - died at age 3
Lorena Anderson - 1890-1977
Ethel Anderson - 1893-1970
Arnold Anderson - 1894-1978

Wallace Anderson - 1898-1978
Stella Anderson - 1899-1942
Alta Anderson - 1900-1978
Russell Anderson - 1903-1971
Walter Anderson - 1907-1926
Earl Anderson - 1910-1970
