George Berg - adoption
Posted by: Mary Bronson (ID *****2819) Date: April 08, 2012 at 08:20:33

My husbands father told the family on his death bed a few years ago that he had been adopted. My father in-law had always told his kids that he was born in Nebraska on 8/6/1911, but searches for a birth record for George Berg have turned up nothing.

The 1920 census shows George Berg with his adoptive mother living in Chicago. The census also indicates the birth parents were both born in Sweden while his adoptive mothers parents came from Norway.

Does anyone have any connection? Any ideas on how to find the birth records?
