Therefore you'd start a search for records of that event in approximately 1846 and work in reverse chronological order through the listings of marriages. Yes, you can find the marriage record for that couple on page 237 of the Ministerial book Nr. A5 (Rogaland, Hausken, Sørbø, Utstein kloster i Rennesøy). Listed as marriage #7 on that page, it also lists where the bridal couple was from (the bride NOT from Rennesøy), the names of their fathers, their ages, the dates when the marriage banns had been previously published, the dates when each had been vacinated for smallpox.
