In working on a family tree I found your inquiry re Norvilles in Illinois.
My husband's mother is Bessie Irene Bycroft, b.1918 daughter of Lena Veanne Norville and Harry Clifton Bycroft.
My husband's parents lived in the Roseville and Galesburg area until around 1961. My husband and I lived in that area from 1964 until moving out of state in 1973. My mother-in-law now lives near us, and I have her sorting through papers that had belonged to Grandma (Lena Veanee Norville Bycroft).
My husband's Grandma, Lena Veanee Norville Bycroft b. 1897 was a daughter of William Norville and Flora George. Grandma, (Lena Veanee Norville Bycroft) died in 1973.
Brothers of Veanee were Earl, Harry, Carl and sisters Buelah Norville Reed and Leona Norville Landon. My mother-in-law does not remember the names of the children of Earl, Harry or Carl. Beulah lived in the Roseville area, a daughter, Evelyn. Leona married Fred Landon, Abingdon, Illinois area.
At this point, the only Kenneth Norville I have seen reference to besides your inquiry is a newspaper clipping obituary Grandma Bycroft had of "Red Norvo" born Kenneth Norville in Beardstown, Illinois--he was a famous musician so you can do a search on "Red Norvo" for that information. My mother-in law isn't sure who his parents were.
I'm hoping to contact the person that posted the message to you earlier. I am trying to learn more about my mother-in-law's great grandfather who was E. O. Norville. I have pictures, a book dated 1897, Dayton, Ohio.
