Westley, glad to know you're out there. Seems like our cousin Mike found that our great grandfather, Christopher Winters Norvelle at some time or another taught school in Stamford, Texas, about 30 miles north of Abilene on US 277. I stopped in there once a few years ago to see if I could find anything about them down at the courthouse. There may have been some information in their records, but I couldn't stay long enough to go through them. I didn't know when they might have been there or anything else about them and their records were not computerized so there was no other way to search except to turn each page of lots of volumes.
