Absalom Northup, born about 1803 in North Kingstown, RI, married Frances Sweet. A genealogy submitted on Ancestry.com, says that Absalom's parents were George Congdon and Patience Northup. It says that Absalom was born to Patience Northup before she married George Congdon in 1807. Does anyone have any information on Absalom's parents. Was George Congdon Absalom's father, or was his father unknown?
