I am searching for information on the family of Joseph S. NORTHUP who married twice. His second wife was Sophia DAVIDSON. This couple had three children, the eldest of which was named Ruel NORTHUP, b. Steuben Co., NY 18 Jun 1844. From 1847 until 1848 this family lived in Cook Co., IL. In 1860 they were in Jackson Co., IA. Ruel purchased land in Clinton Co., IA and there married Margaret Jane CONRAD. In 1875 this couple moved to Hamilton Co., IA.
I would like to determine the name of Joseph S. NORTHUP's first wife and the name of his parents. Any suggestions toward this end would be appreciated.
