Susan Abbott: Families of Milford, CT.; Confusion
On page 96 of “Early Families of Milford, Connecticut” it states that Benjamin Beers married Ann Northrup, b. 27 March 1737, daughter of Nathan and Elizabeth (Brinsmade). [Underlining mine.]
But on page 491 Ann Northrup, bpt. 27 March 1737, who married Benjamin Beers, appears as the daughter of Phineas and Abigail (Wheeler). [Underlining mine.]
Yet on page 323 it states that Samuel Gunn married Phoebe Northrup daughter of Phineas and Elizabeth (Brinsmade).
My question is: which set of parents are correct for Ann and Phoebe;Nathan and Elizabeth, Phineas and Elizabeth or Phineas and Abigail ?
Or, restated: Who are the parents of Ann Northrup who married Benjamin Beers -Nathan and Elizabeth (Brinsmade) Northrup, or Phneas and Abigail (Wheeler) Northrup ? And…
Who are the parents of Phoebe Northrup who married Samuel Gunn -Nathan and Elizabeth (Brinsmade) Northrup, or Phneas and Abigail (Wheeler) Northrup ?
Any guidance based on research would be very welcome. Thank you.
William Woodruff Abbott
