Found: 1900 census possibility

a Daisy Smith is living with parents, Thomas and Martha J, in Linn, Oregon. Brother: Nathan, born in Oregon but Daisy was born in Illinois. She is listed as a school teacher. There are no Northrups or Wahls listed for that area.

1910
Daisy is married to William Wahl and they have a daughter, Daisy/Delma. They are living in the next family over from her parents, brother, Nathan, and his wife, Mae. Daisy and William were married about 1901. William was born in Missouri.

1920
Still married to William. Two daughters: Delma and Wilma. Still living next to her family but mother seems to have died. Both families are "farmers". Nathan now has a son, Fleming. It may be that the father could have been William Fleming Smith or maybe the mother was Martha Fleming.

1930: Halsey is now two districts but neither family seems to be listed.

There were Northrup/Northrop families in early Portland and there is even a street with that name. I do not seem to have a person matching your request in my data base but I'll keep looking.
