McCallions from Parish Tamlaght Finlaggan
My name is Ian Thomson, I am trying to trace Irishrelatives of my Gr,Gr Grandfather William McCallion.
He was married in 1882 to Mary Ann Fraser in the Parish Church of Tamlaght Finlaggan, Co. Derry, at Time of marriage he was living in the Townland of Ballymore in the parish of Tamlaght Finlaggan, Mary Ann was living in townland of Tamlaght in Parish of Tamlaght Finlaggan.
Williams parents were William McCallion and Nancy McCluskey.
Mary Anns parents were James Fraser and Rachel Steen/ Stean.
In late 1800's they moved to Glasgow, and had the following children William,James,my Great Grandfather Patrick, John, Agnes, Joseph Fraser and Rachel.
Early 1900's name somehow changed to McCallum.
William and James emigrated to Canada (under name of McCallum) and fought and died in 1914-18 war.
Does anyone know how I can find this information as I am new to the family tree experience.
Does this information ring any bells with anyone .....If so please let me know of any relevant connection/information.
