Hull/Thompson family from Belfast who immigrated to British Columbia, Canada

My great-great grandparents were Stewart Hull and Sarah Eliza Thompson from Belfast. Stewart was born about 1853-1856 and Sarah Eliza was born about 1857-1861. Sarah Eliza was the daughter of Thomas Thompson and Catherine Jane Gawley. Stewart and Sarah Eliza immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1877 staying for a couple of years, then moved to British Columbia and settled in the Vancouver area by 1889. Several of Sarah Eliza's siblings also immigrated to British Columbia (Thomas, James and Lucy, that I know of so far). Her sister Maggie came to Canada in 1904 with Lucy, but I lost track of her after that.

I have not been able to find the marriage record of Stewart Hull and Sarah Eliza Thompson. Their first child was born in Jan 1881 in Canada, but they were likely married in Belfast before immigrating.

I also have not been able to find the birth of Stewart, and I have never known the names of his parents. I have found a birth for a Stewart Hull in 1853 in Belfast, son of George Hull and Elizabeth Faloon. George and Elizabeth were married 21 Dec 1849 in the parish/district of Lurgan County Armagh. They had 5 children that I could find: William John (b. 1851), Stewart (b. 1853), Mary Jane (b. 1876), George (b. 1878), and Elizabeth (b. 1880), all born in Antrim. (Info from

I'm wondering if anyone knows if this Stewart Hull (b. 1853) would be the Stewart Hull in my family who was married to Sarah Eliza Thompson. Any information about any of the people in my Belfast tree would be much appreciated.
