Just trying to find Cully roots when I came upon your entries. I did write a note explaining that the Elizabeth Patterson Cully birth index you found belonged to my grandfather's sister, who died at birth. I did continue on reading all of the notes when I read the last one saying you discovered Thomas Cully was your grandmother's father. Unfortunately Irish marriage records usually only give the father's names for the bride and groom so I doubt that you would get your gram's mom's name. When was your grandmother born? If she is before 1870 the chances are iffy but after that time you should be able to find her birth cert. When looking for my gram's bcert I spent 2 years looking until I realized, perhaps she was illegit when she was born and then her mother married. Irish marriage records are not too bad.
sorry I'm blathering. |Did your Thomas Cully come from Armagh area cuz I have some info on a couple of Thomas in Armagh. Let me know if I can help. Marilyn Cully
