Hi Sam,
Thank you for your help. The Baptism Record is for myself. I was born in Belfast on the 3rd August 1941 and my maiden name is Dorothy Murray. I have otherwise not got any Irish connections. My Father was working in Belfast and had intended to live there as he was setting up a business there with a Partner. Unfortunately when I was 5 months old my father had a fatal heart attack and of course my mother took my brother and I back to Glasgow as my father was to be buried there.
Normally a Baptism would have been written on the back of a Birth Certificate but mine is not an original as it was one which was issued to widows and orphans. I have gone through the records belonging to the church I went to as a child as I was able to access them in Scotlands People but with no success, which led me to think that maybe I had been baptised in Belfast before my father died. So, it is really a source of elimination for me before I try Scotlands People again for other churches, but then maybe I was never baptised.
Thanking you
Dorothy.
