John Mackey/Ann Alexander, to America ~1751
Know this is a LONG shot, but looking for assistance!
John Mackey, born ~1726, (reportedly in Ireland, but I think it was Scotland) married Ann Alexander, born ~1735 (again, reportedly in Ireland but think she was born in Scotland as well). I believe they were part of the Ulster-Scots migration to Northern Ireland. They married (reportedly) in Ireland ~1751, and that same year, immigrated to America. Arrived in Pennsylvania (via Philadelphia?), settled there for a few years, had two children (Mary and James), then moved to North Carolina. Info I have is that John and Ann made the trip along with John's two brothers, William and Thomas. Have good records AFTER their arrival in America...family name then was spelled "Mackey" but may have been variant in Scotland. Any help, assistance or suggestions to continue search in Scotland/Ireland would be greatly appreciated.
