Hiya Al,
Since you're searching for ancestors in Northern Ireland you might be interested in a site called Belfast Forum. It's a site that's been going since Nov 2005 and is heading towards 1000 members. A combination of long memories, which are typical of many Belfast people, and living mothers and fathers of some of the members who can be called upon to see if they remember a certain person and a number of members with a keen
interest in family history means that some people are getting results. The Forum
http://www.belfastforum.co.ukhttp://www.belfastforum.co.uk has had a family history board since the middle of last year. Some of the members go to the Central Library and Newspaper Library, the
Linenhall Library, and PRONI to look up information for members not living in Belfast. Forum members also work with a couple of people who have large collections of Directories of Belfast and the Province of Ulster (pre 1922) and Directories of Belfast and Northern Ireland (post 1922).
