Information in a book entitled Northcutt and Allied Families by Dolly Northcutt and Amelia Sparkman Castleberry says about Adrian Norhtcutt-Capt. later a General. Born October 13, 1799, VA.Married Sarah Cope Born Nov.23, 1803. Sarah said to have died Jan 24, 1872 buried in Armstorng Cemetery, McMinneville, TN. (from "Tombstone Inscriptions and Hist. Manuscripts" Acklen) Adrian Northcutt, Captain of the "Mountain Blues", one of the companies enrolled in Campbell's Regiment, (1st Tenn.) in the War with Mexico...HE was later commissioned as general in the milita. page 414. (Old Burial Grounds of WArren Co. Tenn.by Bentley)Adrian died Jan 19, 1869, Warren Co. Tenn. buried Armstrong Cemetery, (Irving College, McMinneville, Tenn. Adrian was the son of John Northcutt, and had 5 brothers and three sisters, one of whom was named Nancy but the book has no data on her. Hope this helps.
