J H or FH NORTHCUTT & wife Rachel
Posted by: William Vance (ID *****1367) Date: March 06, 2010 at 22:21:23
  of 1191

J(ohn?) or F(rank?) NORTHCUTT immigrated to America from England prior to 1848. He was accompanied by Rachel MARK from Ireland. Presumably, they married in America, possibly Kentucky. Their daughter (first and only?) Annabelle was b. 29 Aug 1848 in KY. Sometime prior to 1865, the NORTHCUTTs moved to Missouri where Annabelle (AKA Belle) married William Henry BARKER (whose parents were from KY), probably in Monroe Co, MO. William and Belle BARKER had three daughters (Celia, Mary Frances [aka Fannie], and Margaret [aka Maggie] and one son, Oden (also seen as Ogden). For the life of me, I cannot find Annabelle's parents (J. (or F.) H Northcutt or Rachel) in any Census, ship's panssenger lists, or immigration or naturalization records. JH (or FH) Northcutt may have had a relative (possibley a son) living in Los Angeles about 1907, his intials according to a newspaper article were C.N. Northcutt. I could not find a C.N. but could find a C.E. Northcutt living with is brother James N. Northcutt in Los Angeles. I am seeking any information on a JH or FH Northcutt and wife Rachel living in KY or MO between 1845 and 1870, or any other location after this time. This is a real long shot, but I have to try. Thanks.
