In my mother's photo album from the 1940s, there are two pages dedicated to Bill North with the incription Bill North - Hawaii - 1942, 43-45, also possibly of Terra Haute, IN. In all photos, he appears to be in his 20s. One photo of Bill standing in front of a truck with U.S. Coast Guard stenciled on the side. Three or four others show him in sailor uniform. These pages follow a couple of pages of another sailor named John Klug of Terra Haute, IN. If you think you know of this Bill North, I would be happy to scan the photos and e-mail them to you.
