Martha married Isham Meadows when he came to Alabama. He bought property in Lowndes and died there 16 december 1844.
Isham Meadows paid taxes in 1815 in Greene County, Georgia, in Willis’s District. On 6 December 1815, in Greene County, William Stevens of Greene County, sold to Starling Acree, for $1000, 192 acres in Greene County, on Stephens Creek, adjoining Isham Meadows. Witnesses were Nathaniel Acree, Edward Meadows, Ransom Meadows (his son), and Thomas Lyne, J.P.76
Isham Meadows left Greene County, Georgia, between 1815 and 1820, and moved to Alabama. His wife Ann Frances Sherrill is supposed to have died about 1815 but it is not clear where she died- in Ga or ALabama- however he came to Alabama with his large family in tow. Isham Meadows, age 60 to 70, and his son, Ransom Meadows, age 40 to 50 lived in Lowndes County, Alabama, when the 1830 census was taken. Family descendants report that he remarried when he came to Alabama.
1830 establishes the age of his Martha. Martha was born circa 1775. Isham also has a female in the house 5 and under 10 and a female 20 and under 30, 2 males 5 and under 10, 2 males 10 and under 20, 1 male 20 and under 30.

. Benjamin Samuel Meadows born Abt. 1784-1797 in p. Warren County, North Carolina, died 1864, Chambers County, Alabama, married first, 17 December 1805, Greene County, Georgia, to Nancy Parker who was born in 1788 in Chatham, NC. She died on 6 May 1852 in Chambers, AL. She was buried in Hepzibah Cemetery, Lee, AL.. He married second, circa 1853, Chambers County, Alabama, to Sarah R. -------- Children

His daughter Martha b. 15 JAN 1820 in Putnam GA was married 8 OCT 1837 by Justice of the Peace, Stewart DeVane. She had kin named Stewart DeVane b 1793 in NC who sometimes came south- for instance one son was born in Covington GA probably on a visit. He was descended from Thomas DeVane Jr and she was descended from Thomas brother John DeVane both sons of the French nobleman Thomas deVane immigrant to New Hanover County, North Carolina about 1721. martha´s children were unknown son b before 1840., William Meadows 1840, Franklin 1842, Calvin 1843. Isham´s father Benjamin is in Chambers Coin 1840 census.

Isham Meadows is 20 to 30 and living with a wife and one child 5 and under 10 in the same neighborhood as Theophilus Stephens-so this sutains that his daughter Martha married this younger Isham Meadows in 1837 and not the older Isham (70 and under80) who is living happily with his Martha (60 and under 70) over in Lowndes Co. AL, as well as 2 males 15 and under 20, 1 male 20 and under 30.
