As I said, I have no proof that Barsheba was a Balthrop but find the name Balthrop in several records relating to the Malones. I have never researched the Malones much -- have looked up wills, Wood's and his fathers, know that Wood had a brother. Since I am out of town and have no access at present to my records, I'm not sure but think I remember the brother's name to be Frederick. So I can't help you with the Malones really.
My interest lies particularly with Barsheba (sometimes she appears as Bathsheba), my fourth great-grandmother. To my knowledge, William Noyal Norsworthy and Barsheba never lived anyplace other than North Carolina. I have found them only in Bute/Warren counties, where both died. Barsheba outlived William Noyal by several years. I haad never considered that Barsheba might have been a Baxter. I'll search to see whether I find anything to give credence to that possibility.
The Balthrops were in Warren/Bute county. I'll get back to you.
