Wow, the full-blown 67 allele test? That's the same one my uncle Broc Norris did too. It will be interesting to find out the results. This is very exciting and thanks for inquiring about Anderson for me! I have looked at all the information in your previous post and from what I can tell so far (there is so much more), your Robert Sr. is most likely the Robert found in Pickens Co. S.C. 1840, listed as being 60-70 with a much younger wife? I believe he left a Will either there or in Anderson Co. S.C. in the mid 1840's listing a small son Jesse W. Norris. I'm opersting form memory and I didn't copy it, and could have kicked myself for not doing so. The Robert S. Norris in Newberry Co. S.C. seems to be Robert Singleton Norris (later moved to White Co. GA in 1860, next to Habersham, listed as school teacher) for census years 1840 & 1850, and most likely Alanson's brother? I have located the two sisters, Nancy (Goodwin) and Keziah (Chitwood) in Habersham Co. GA for 1850 an 1860. Andrew M. Norris was also a lawyer/court clerk in Habersham & Rabun Co. GA before moving to Murray Co. GA. So far there are a lot of parellels with my family, i.e. lawyers, (Jacob Norris was a lawyer and representative from Greene Co, GA to the state senate), Methodist ministers (Anderson), plus the names they name their children are very similar. I am currently looking into a Joseph Norris who had land in Greene Co. GA in 1810 and a John N. Norris from the same county. They too were court clerks. I know the Robert Norris, b. circa 1755 from North Carolina that Teresa Evans and I have discussed, had a nephew named Joseph Norris from Robert's brother John. I will get back with you on what I find out. And thanks again for all your help. Take Care, Tracy Notify Administrator about this message?
