It would be interesting to find out what the "Inventory" list of Robert's son Green contained? It still doesn't mean Robert resided there, just that there was something of value that Robert wanted to return to North Carolina to collect. It could have even been a slave given to him by his grandfather Joseph? In fact, this Robert's not listed in Franklin Co. for 1810. The Robert in Edgecombe Co. is too young and the other Robert listed in Cumberland Co. is from another Norris family.
I still believe this Robert was one of the Roberts listed in Pendleton District S.C. in 1810. Also I noted in the 1800 census for Franklin Co. that Robert had 3 sons. There is one 16-25 and 2 under 10. I didn't think the census for 1790 was accurate as it didn't even show wife Polly in Roberts' house? I believe Robert may have been married previous to Polly Roland.
I'll just have to go diggin some more but thanks for all the research you've given me on Robert!!
Thanks,Tracy
