Linda,

Oscar was the son of Hiram NORRIS and Rebecca ?. Check the 1850 Autauga Co. AL Census, Pine Flat Beat. Hiram NORRIS was born about 1810 in Fairfield Dist., SC. He was the son of Revolutionary War Soldier Patrick NORRIS and 2nd wife, Martha Wilson.

Patrick Norris and Martha Wilson Norris had nine sons and one daughter and several of them died in Elmore Co., AL.

I checked the CSA Service records for the AL 53rd Partisan Rangers, Company K, and did not see your Oscar but I did find John M (W?) Norris and W.J.B. Norris. W.J.B. Norris enlisted in Pine Flat (Autauga Co.) AL.
