Joseph Norris, born December 15,1725 to Edward Norris
and Hannah Scott, married Phyllis Anna Barton on
August 2, 1950. Joseph had 9 siblings:

Hannah 1738

Daniel 1728
After Joseph's (b.1725) death in 1775, Phyllis Barton
was said to have married Daniel Treadway, the husband
of Joseph's sister Sarah (b.1727) in Blackhorse, MD.
Joseph and Phyllis's children:
Anna 1752
Phyllis 1753
William 1758
Eleanor 1760
Joseph Needmore 1761
William Norris(b.1758) married Sarah Rigdon in MD in 1788
and all their twelve children were born in Franklin,
Georgia.
James Needmore Norris died in Chambers, AL.
Since Phyllis Barton Norris and Daniel Treadway both
married and died in Blackhorse, MD, it must be an
error that Joseph and Phyllis died in Georgia.
Nearly every Norris in this generation (Joseph and
Phyllis) named a son Joseph. My thoughts are that
the Joseph's are being confused and put with wrong
parents.
