Thanks for your suggestions. Actually, I am asking on behalf of the New Netherland Institute, of which I am a member of the board of trustees. The Institute is the support friend of the New Netherland Project in Albany, which is working on translating and publishing some 12,000 pages of documents from the period 1636-1674. If you'd like to know more, go to nnp.org and you'll probably see a lot of familiar names and material.
If you live in the northeast, you will want to see the new exhibit, "Light on New Netherland," which gives information about various aspects of life in the Dutch Colonial period.
