George's stone had fallen over and was completely buried. One of the ladies found it by probing. It is a wonderful piece of stone carving and is located between Jane H. Norman and Anna D. Towson. There is another row of graves, marked only with fieldstones, between Frances Isabella Towson and the house site. These run from just west of her grave to just west of George B. We counted 8 in that row, two between Florida V. (Allen) Towson and what appears to be a corner cedar tree. I can't help but wonder if these might have been some of the very early Edge Hill Normans. There is another one marked with fieldstones next to Florida and I wonder if that might be her husband William S. Towson (c.1853-1915). He kept a store at Coal Landing and I have never been able to ascertain where he was buried--too much speculation! As long as I'm inundating you with questions, I'll ask another one--Do you know when the Edge Hill house was destroyed or went down? Thanks again! Jerrilynn Notify Administrator about this message?
