This was in the 8 Apr 1898 issue of the Roanoke Beacon, a newspaper of Plymouth (Washington County), North Carolina.
The sympathies of our people go out to our townsman, Mr. M.J. NORMAN, who mourns the death of his father, N.D. NORMAN, Esq., who died after a lingering illness at his home in Charlotte, several days ago. The deceased was for years a resident of Plymouth, honored and loved by all who knew him. Peace to his ashes.
