I I met a man who's family lore said that his 3 great uncle Nordyke was supposed to have fled from Grundy Co, because he killed his uncle or cousin back in the early 1800, but we have no definites on that.
I had always thought that he died during an Indian attack. I got curious, so at lunch, I went home and got looked up my notes. They say he was killed in a bar fight. Still no idea about which book it was in though.
I went back to the college library once to see if I could track the book. The, then new, president had cleared out all of the genealogy books at the annual "gargae sale". The new policy said the campus library was safer for students if the public was not admitted. And I was not permitted to go in. Darn private schools.
