You listed the wife of James Turner as Nancy Jane Nordyke. Her name was just Jane Nordyke. She had a sister named Nancy Ellen Nordyke who married John Johnson. Nancy and John went west on the same wagon train as my Thomas Jefferson Harper and Elizabeth Ann Nordyke Turner Harper. Ruth Kearns, I believe, is a direct descendant of the James Turner and Jane Nordyke side of the family. If you need more information on this line, I am a direct descendant of James D. Nordyke and Leticia/Letitia F. Smith Nordyke. BTW, Leticia is the daughter of William Smith. Also, has anyone proved that the "D" in James D. Nordyke is Dodge? I haven't seen any documentation that supports that. Would be truly interested.
