St. Charles (Illinois) Chronicle, 11 July 1935
Miss Lydia Nord, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Nord, died at her home in Chicago yesterday.
Miss Nord was one of a family of ten, seven of whom survive: Christine, now Mrs. Daggett of Chicago, Lena, now Mrs. Sutton of Wisconsin and Emma Ella, Dan and Ephraim of Chicago and Foab of St. Charles.
Miss Nord's father came to St. Charles from Sweden in 1853 and spent his life here.
Her brother Eben, now deceased, was one of the earliest compositors in the Chronicle office under its first owner, S.W. Durant.
Miss Nord was born in St. Charles December 12, 1867.
The funeral services will be held in Chicago and burial will be Friday morning at North cemetery in the family lot.
Miss Nord, a sister of Foab Nord, has a number of relatives in St. Charles and many friends and neighbors who hold her in kindly remembrance.
I am not related to nor researching this family and have no further information.
