A trip to Ribchester, England

It appears I am the first to say "Happy New Year," Norcross's.

I will be taking a trip to Ribchester in May and I will be happy to take pictures and share them with any of you who care to have shots of the cradle of Norcrossdom.

Of course I will get St. Wilfrid's Church, and the White Bull Inn with its "Roman?" columns. I plan to go to the Lancashire Historic Society and find other Norcross-related properties and places of interest. Does anyone know of anything specific?

We on the "John" side may be interested in this. I will also visit the Haberdasher's Company in London. I had not realized that it has become a philanthropic society now, rather than a hat-makers guild. In fact, I was surprised to find that it was still in existence. And very much so, with a very nice modern facility. I suppose Thomas was one of the early philanthropists, in that he willed a portion of his life savings for the on-going support of St. Wildrid's Church in Ribchester.

Please reply if you know of other sites of particular interest.
