Julie,

There is a birth record in Greene County, which is adjacent to Sullivan & Knox counties, for a female child (unnamed) to Joseph Nolting and Ida, 3/31/1903. Book R-5, page 6. You can find the index on-line at the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Library Web site www.bloomfield.lib.in.us/project1/.

It is the only reference I've seen in Greene to Noltings other than the descendants of Charles Fredrick Nolting and Minnie Nail. They emigrated from Prussia abt 1842-1844. Lot of same names of course. Charles F. had sons named Frederick, Charles Augustus and Henry. They do appear in the Greene Co, Stockton Twp census in 1850, but I don't know of any connection with other Nolting families in the U.S.

Hope this helps.
