I also interested in any information about Wm. Nolte of SugarLoaf Township, St. Clair Co., IL. Particularly concerning any of his ancestors. He was my great-grand-father. He died in 1899, but his oldest son (also Wm) may have sold (in 1901, re: Karen's original msg.)part of his inheritance or was settling father's estate. "Wm Jr" did not live on a farm, but in Dupo, IL and was janitor at Dupo High School (as was his son, Leroy). My grandfather (Philip Nolte, son of "Wm Sr") retained 40 ac of likely what was originally 160 ac Rehg farm (noted in Karen's original msg). Wm Sr's wife Margaretha nee:Rehg and her brother (Henry Rehg)retained part of original farm; i.e., bordered Philip's. Philip later "sold" about 2 ac lots to his 3 sons on the corners of T-intersection for SugarLoaf Hill and Ims Station Roads. The sons were Robert, Erwin (my father) and, George. Philip's brother Fried established a business at Ims Station, and his two sons owned grocery stores in Dupo, IL.
