I know that this is a shot in the dark but does anyone know what might have happened to this certificate??

I am working on the family of William and Emma Nolte--children: Anna 10,Alfred 5,Roda 3,Emma 2,(all born Germany) and May 1 b.Nebraska. The family is listed in the Nebraska State Censua 1885-Logan Precinct,Wayne,Neb.

The family came to the U.S.21 Sept.1883 to New York from Bremer,Germany on the ship Main. They were in Nebraska a short time and then went to California.

I have some info on son Alfred A.Nolte who lived in Hemet,California but am trying to find the other children and what might have happened to them.

If anyone has an idea what might have happened to the certificate it would be most helpful.Thank you.
