YES! I would be very pleased if you sent info on Markoldendorf. For all the years I have been doing genealogy I have found very little. Probably because it is such a small town... actually, I'm pleased it's not a big city. I have only found where it is on a few maps (which include it), and a train schedule! but no photos. Is it far from the river? Tell me everything!
Is there a church, cemetery, a museum? Is the land flat, farmland, mountains or hills? Do you know any of it's history? Is it near Hameln... were the 'Pied Piper' is from?
When did your family come to the states? I found a few names on a ship's list the other day that included 'Markoldendorf' as passengers' home. What's the population? And, <
I better quit for now. So many questions. Any you've BEEN THERE! It's one of the places I'd like to visit in this lifetime.
