" GREEM BAY--PHILLIP NOLL, GREEN BAY'S only centenarian , died here at the home of a daughter , from ailments incidental to old age. Mr. Noll was born 100 years ,6 months and 10 days in Olga,Germany. he came to America when 18 and settled at Peshtigo. He was survivor of the GREAT PESHTIGO FIRE of 1871 and told friend he and wife saved themselves by sitting in the Peshtigo River all night."
