Dear Cody,
Nolens have been in Alabama since the late 1700,s or early 1800's. It is believed that not all are related. There are at least three different lines that I have encountered. I am of the belief that eventually all three lines will be proven to connect to one individual. The name is Irish and the Nolens arrived in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia and spread out from there. I have copies of death certificates for many Nolens from Alabama that I am not related to. If you can send me as many names as you know, I'll check them against my list and see what we come up with. By the way, one of the death certificates is for the infant of Agbert Nolen.
Shelby
