James Merion Nokes had at least four children: Matthew Lee (b. 19 Oct 1868, d. 1 Jan. 1914 in Cumberland Co., Ky.), James (b. 20 Feb 1870, d. 6 Mar 1940 in Cumberland Co., Ky.), Sarah (Nokes) Harvey, and Mollie (Nokes) Stevens. I do not know what James Merion's wife's name was.

In the 1860 census there was a Marion Nokes, age 16, enumerated in the household of William Carter in Millsprings, Wayne Co., Ky. Same person? If not, do you have info. on this Nokes family?
