Hi Judy,
I know this is a longshot, but I have to ask. My interest is in the surname of Gallaher, in Hannibal, MO. My Great Grandma, Muriel Gallaher, was born in Iowa, in 1893. She married Stephen M. Brinton. They had at least 2 of their 3 children in Ellsworth, IA. A couple of articles that I have come across, indicate that after the birth of their children, sometime around 1915-1918, Muriel & Stephen, moved to Hannibal, Marion Co., Missouri, to raise their children. After months of research, I have not been able to find out any info. on Muriel's parents, siblings, etc. So now I am researching the possibility that Muriel (could have been her nick or middle name)Gallaher-Brinton & Stephen (went by Marshall) Brinton, moved to Hannibal Co., MO, to be near Muriel's family while raising their children, Samuel, Eugene (birthname John E.) & Helen. So... My question is, Have you come across any other info. on GALLAHERS in HANNIBAL, MISSOURI, besides the Elizabeth Caroline Gallaher that married your John M. Wardell/Rogers in 1862? Any info. and or tips for further research are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
