I did not indend my post as proof or primary evidence. I agree that the Richer book rarely cites a source and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. Never the less, it should not be merely discounted, but can still be used as clues that can be later proved or disproved with "primary evidence."
It appears the Glea herself agress with you. The widow Wise, according to Glea (p. 52), is Catherine Wise, who married Peter Noffsinger, son of Rudolf. She puts Frederick's death at 1795 and the marriage of this Peter and Catherine at 1796. Once again she does not list any sources for these conclusions. She assigns this Peter id #200 in direct contridiction to the earier quoted section that says he is #10 (who is probibly the same as #3 - your Peter).
You might contact Jay Noffsinger (jay@nafzger.com) and see what he has on the matter. In his book, Pheonix (see it at http://members.home.net/tjnoff/) he breifly covers pre-Viginia land deals of Peter Noffsinger in PA and MD. In this section he says, "Over the next few years, Peter and his wife (sometimes listed as "Phreny", "Freni", "Froney" or "Frances") sold various pieces of land, sometimes to families listed as being from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania." I don't know if he is impling that some of these land records mention the name of his wife, or if these names are from other sources.
