I would be interested in further details on Ephraim Martin and Margaret Martin found living with him in 1850. What were their ages? Who else was living with them? Levi Martin, Sr. is my ggg Grandfather and have been unable to find his parents & siblings. (The Peter Noffsinger you mention is another of my ggg grandfathers.) Levi Martin, Sr. was married to Anna Aller. He was born July 8, 1802, in Belmont Co., Ohio. He is said to have moved to Nodaway Co., Missouri, in 1842 and in 1849 is said to have gone to Calif. for the "Gold Rush". In 1860, he is found back in Nodaway Co., MO. He died in Pacific City, Mills Co., Iowa, 13 Aug, 1891 and is buried in Glenwood Cemtery, Glenwood, Mills County, Iowa. They called him "Missouri" Martin. He had a daughter, also, named Margaret Martin who was born 12 Feb. 1835, in Indiana. She married Peter Noffsinger, Jr., born 18 Nov. 1833, Monroe County, Ohio. His father, Peter Noffsinger, Sr. is no doubt the Peter Noffsinger found living close to your Ephraim Martin, in 1840. The Noffsinger family is said to have moved to Nodaway Co., in 1843.
