I have a copy of this book. I have also found it in many public libraries. author Alice Dalgliesh. I have also visited New Milford, Conn. in 2006 - John Noble was one of the first white settlers in the community and basically it is a true story. I trace my ancestry to 3 of John's brothers: There was 2nd/3rd cousin marriages back then.
