Hi Cory, Thanks for the reply. Very interesting. Can I ask who passed this on? I myself have a very tenious link to Inverness in the mid 1700's. If I can get confirmation of the link, which I am 90% certain of, then the family had to have left Inverness pretty sharpish around this date. However, they remained in Scotland. As this date is quite an important date in our history, I opften wonder why they had to leave and what side they were on, if they were on any side. I believe the name of Noble comes under Clan Chattan and Clan MacIntosh, with The Clan Chattan being the superior of the two. If I am correct on 3 Jacobite standards were left standing that day on the battlefield and Chattan was one of them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Culloden Having visited Culloden Moor I found it to be a very eerie place. Thanks for the reply again Cory. Take care, C. Notify Administrator about this message?
