I am looking for information on John Lewis Porter who married a Simmons or Simpson aft 1860's.. not sure if they were married in Clayton, but she is buried there.. they had a daughter (name unknown> John used to travel back there to visit his daughter.. they lived on a ranch there. John remarried and had 11 more children...John is buried in Alamagordo..he died 1939. we cant find anything on him before 1900. Please if anyone knows of this person, please contact me...It has been said that he rode with the Dalton gang, and with Black Bart. Not sure if this is true...Any help would be appreciated....
