Elizabeth C Mahanay married Darrius Kingsbury in St. Clair Co., IL 1904. Lizzie arrived in NM sometime between 1911-1920. 1920 census of Harrington, Union Co., NM shows Lizzie Kingsbury as a widow. Trying to determine if her husband, Darrius died in IL before the trip or if he died in NM.
Lizzie received a patent for 320 acres in Union Co., NM in Oct 1920. She can be found in Texline, Dallam Co., TX in 1930.
Lizzie was previously married to John Thomas Newton and had one son also named John T Newton. Believe that he is the same John Newton listed in Mt. Dora, Union Co., NM in the 1920 census. Anyone with any information on either Darrius Kingsbury or John T Newton? Any help on these people greatly appreciated. Thanks
