You can do a Land Patent search on the internet by going to the BLM (US Bureau of Land Management)website. You can search by name and then if you get a hit it will also give the legal discription of the land. You can order the Patent Application records for a fee. These usually do not give much genealogical information though. Usually just dates and signed statements by the applicant and witnesses. Notify Administrator about this message?
